IN RESPONSE TO OUR MENTAL HEALTH PANDEMIC, CREATOR JANEANE BERNSTEIN
LEADS PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT TALKS, CREATES PANELS WITH STUDENTS, BUSINESS OWNERS AND ENTREPRENEURS, AND TEACHES VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS ABOUT SELF-CARE, RESILIENCE, THE SCIENCE OF HAPPINESS, MAKING SELF-CARE A PRIORITY IN COLLEGE, HOW TO BE BETTER HUMANS, ETC.
IN 2021, SHE CREATED THE OUTSIDE THE BOX MENTORING SERIES FEATURING A SELECT GROUP OF MENTORS, AND INCLUDING ALUMNI FROM SPECIFIC SCHOOLS & COLLEGES. THE GOAL IS TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN AS MANY LIVES AS POSSIBLE AND BRING ABOUT POSITIVE CHANGE, WHILE PROMOTING INTERGENERATIONAL STRATEGIES AND CONNECTIONS THAT REDUCE ISOLATION, LONELINESS AND IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH.
Self-care, resilience, and pivoting have never been more essential. Janeane creates custom designed workshops for adults and students
of all ages, especially those in middle school, junior high school, high school, and college. The goal is to promote resilience long-term, and illuminate the importance of self-care, taking tech breaks, and prioritizing mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Students can be academic Rock Stars in high school with amazing GPAs and test scores, but knowing how to prioritize self-care, mental health, and handle the stress of life's curveballs is what really matters long-term.
Addressing the needs and interests of students by
aligning them with mentors in their fields of interest.
Creating unique on-line experiences for students
and mentors to interact, discuss internships and
job opportunities, while their peers listen
and participate during the Q&A. The series fosters
intergenerational connections to reduce isolation and
loneliness, and improve mental health.
